24 Color Classic Test Card
As a professional color management tool, 24 color cards are mainly used for camera color calibration, image color restoration, and visual system color consistency testing. They are widely used in fields such as machine vision, photographic imaging, industrial inspection, printing, scientific research, and image algorithm research.
The 24 color blocks on the color chart cover gray levels from deep to light and common high saturation colors. The back is labeled with the name and number of each color block, forming a complete color reference database. Its core working principle is based on color space conversion: after the camera captures a scene containing a color card, the post-processing software calculates the color characteristics of the current camera system (including lens, sensor, and image processing algorithm) by comparing the difference between the measured color card color and the standard reference value, and generates a camera configuration file for correcting other photos taken under the same lighting conditions. This correction not only includes white balance, but also more subtle color characteristics such as color saturation and hue shift.
Compared to traditional white balance cards, the advantage of the 24 color card lies in its comprehensive color correction capability. The white balance card can only calibrate neutral colors, while the 24 color card can correct deviations in the entire color space, making it particularly suitable for scenes that require high-precision color reproduction such as product photography, art remakes, or commercial photography.
