Working Principle of FPC Glass Film
1. Design Output
First,designers design FPC circuit patterns through Electronic Design Automation(EDA)software and generate corresponding film files.The design usually includes information such as circuits,pads and hole positions.
2. Film Production
The design files are converted into film patterns through photolithography technology,and the patterns are usually printed on the glass film in the form of black and white images.The advantage of glass film lies in its high precision and stability,which can accurately reflect the design patterns.
3. Exposure Transfer
During the FPC manufacturing process,the glass film is placed on the flexible substrate and exposed to an ultraviolet(UV)light source.Light is projected onto the photosensitive coating of the FPC substrate through the patterns on the film,and the photosensitive coating in the exposed areas undergoes changes,thereby forming circuit patterns.
4. Etching
